FaceIT Tournaments

So we're supposed to be playing matches on FaceIT on Friday, but we'll only be able to play quick matches/PUGs (Pick Up Games) which would most likely have mixes of individual players rather than actual teams.

However $kunk and I found out that we can enter 4 "unlimited" tournaments per month without having to subscribe to FaceIT paying money, ya know, like actual money

These tournaments all seem to be in the "bracket" (knockout) format and allow varying amounts of teams, from 8 to 32. Although the upcoming ones are all 32 teams max.

I will list the upcoming tournaments, their start dates/times (all times are CET) and current/max teams:

Monday 29th September 21:00 6/32 teams
Tuesday 30th September 21:00 5/32 teams
Wednesday 1st October 21:00 3/32 teams
Thursday 2nd October 21:00 1/32 teams
Friday 3rd October 21:00 11/32 teams
Saturday 4th October 19:00 12/32 teams
Sunday 5th October 17:00 10/32 teams
Sunday 5th October 21:00 0/32 teams

We should discuss if/when we will be available so we know what tournament we want to enter.

Matchmaking motto

I already mentioned it but I want to post it in here so that everyone can read it and in the future read it again.

Q : What is Matchmaking all about ?
A : It's about US and US only. It doesn't matter if we win or loose. It's about how we play as a team and what we do correctly or not.

Most of the time we gonna get paired with a bunch of random people that doesn't play as a team. We can face extremly good player or a silver elite II lost in the abyss of matchmaking. There is no way to see exactly where we're at as a team.

Don't get frustrated if we loose, don't get extatic if we win. Rather, see what worked well and what didn't. Will it work again in the next match or will it not ?

My advice : Take it as a clutch simulator rather than a serious match.

Keep doing what you are doing as we are improving really fast. Face it, here we come !

Ahah, it just so happens that besides Euro Truck, my best game is the Winnie the Pooh series. I'm a bit rusty (been out of the game for a while) but i'm sure I can return to my pre 2010 best and completely destroy all the competition! Especially when Tigger got nerfed and all the scrubs couldn't get their ez wins.

Apperently, Euro Truck has been replaced by Winnie the poo.... Can we choose a game and stick to it please ! Now I have to pull out my VCR and watch all of those Winnie the poo ESCW matches.... Get Rekt
