Last weekend some sort of update or maintenance on the server caused me to lost the whitelist file that allows certain mods to be used on the server. Since the the server didn't allow any mods, people requested the usage of mods on the server.

I have looked into re-adding that and i came to a thought while doing so; some mods interfere with my mod - not technically but they have an impact on the gameplay. For example by changing sounds, colours or the amount of space a model consumes of the screen allowing for a broader view.

Stealth and spotting is a big part of our gameplay, i want to avoid mods that affect these aspects.

In essence, i want everybody to see and hear similar. I have no problem with allowing mods, but the mod should have the same characteristics as the original.
Some examples to avoid: weapons without front / rear posts, optics that barely have a frame or none at all, bright skins / textures.

If you want to use a certain mod on the server, please reply or leave a comment with a link to that mod so that i can review it and add its trusted key to the whitelist.

Hey all,

I wanted to inform you about some further changes in the mod to the bleed and first aid system.

When a player is shot he will start bleeding. Previously the inflicting damage of the shot determined how much bleed damage was applied each 2 seconds.
This has slighlty changed, now the player will start to bleed slowly and depending on the damage of the shot the bleed damage will get bigger each 2 seconds.
Additional to the above another change introduces self first aid. With this change the player now is able to address shot wounds of oneself. Treating bleeding wounds works similar as first aiding others (USE key). A succesfull self first aid is not as effective, it will not stop the bleeding but it will slow it down and prevents the bleed getting worse over time and will finally stop bleeding when you get to 25% health.

Hey all,

I have overhauled the first aid system in an attempt to make it more robust and user friendly.
You can now give first aid to bleeding players by press and holding the USE/WEAPON PICKUP key close by. If the player nearby is bleeding first aid will give after a few seconds while BOTH players will be freezed at their location untill either first aid is succesfully applied or it is stopped by the provoker (release button).

PS. The previous keybind (H) does NOT work anymore. Info is shown each 2 minutes about this new first aid method.

Hey all,

I'm very pleased to announce that a new custom made gamemode has been pushed to the server, the game mode is about asymetrical warfare - search and destroy.

Asymetrical warfare - search and destroy:

Day maps:
A squad of security forces have been tasked to search and destroy a small insurgent cell, also 2 weapon caches are somewhere located which the insurgent use to store and resupply on rpg's, ied's and other weapons and explosives.

Night maps:
Insurgents forces have been tasked to search and destroy a Special Forces unit, also 2 weapon caches are somewhere located which the SF unit use as a covert base of operations.

Both (unequal) teams as well as the weapon caches are randomly spawned on the map, all possible locations are marked on the map. For now only drycanal and drycanal_night are being used.

This is the first iteration, im sure some tweaks are needed here and there so please let me know how things work out!
