"I usually don't do group advertising, but this is something different (well, not really).

Do you want to create amazing HL2 scenes to show to the world? Do you want to roleplay by controlling a Combine unit? Are you looking to improve your Gmod/SFM abilities? Join the Rebel vs Combine group! If you have a Facepunch account and follow the Screenshot subforum, a RP thread by the name of Espionage Wars is held and active.

This RP is much different than your usual RP servers, as its held in a thread forum, rather than an actual server. You control a unit/sub faction and tell stories by posting pictures of scenes that were made in Garry's Mod or Source Filmmaker. If you are confused, the Espionage Wars thread is a great example.[facepunch.com]

The idea is to be similar to Espianoge Wars, but to have two giant factions (rebels and Combine) against each other with many sub factions. Who creates these small factions or units? You do! The idea is to have a user join a side, then join or create a unit/sub faction.

Why should I join this?

Unlike your typical RP servers, there are no download times, no admin abuse, no donation prompts, and no porn!

What are the requirements to join?
A Facepunch acount, Garry's Mod/Source Filmmaker, and a general sense of the Half Life 2 universe.

Am I required to reskin/hack my own models, like the Espionage War thread?
Absolutely not! You are allowed to use the default HL2 models, but you are also allowed to reskin/hack your own models, as long as they follow HL2's artstyle.

Well, this is why this post exists. The RvC thread doesn't actually exist yet. The group is for coming up with rules and ideas to acutally make it a reality, so please join the group and help us out! Any an all comments are welcome. Even if you have an idea you don't think is good, post it anyways, as other people might think it's good.

As of now, this group is to help the concept and development of creating a Rebel vs Combine thread for the Facepunch Screenshots sections. It'll be very similar to the Espionage Wars thread.
