hey guys i found something interesting for you ^^ if you wanna get a game but don't have money for the game try these sites to participate in free offers (surveys, videos and more...) and get free steam games or steam wallet for the points you earn there. It will take some of your time earning points but the good thing is that you also can refer the sites to others (like i do ^^) and get points for their completed offers. So if you're interested, give it a try and you'll see that its worth it :)
(...and if you don't trust that sites at the beginning, check them out using a fake-account :P)

here are the links:

"Crazy and awesome story.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) is the lead sponsor of the bill that would make it a felony to post certain streamed content online -- meaning ordinary Americans would risk getting locked up for posting karaoke videos, cover band performances, video game play-throughs, and more to YouTube. It's now been rolled into the House's version of the Internet Blacklist Bill."

@The_Thing You think the government cares what people think?
General Goose 27 Aug, 2011 @ 3:56pm
Even if the bill doesn't have the impact of taking down LPs and the like, it still makes copyright law criminal law, and that's something I oppose.
Florpskin 6 Aug, 2011 @ 3:05pm
this bill is still in the VERY VERY early stages of development. This bill is not aimed toward taking down lets plays and commentary or anything like that, just the way it is originally worded would make it so posting gameplay videos with you the devleopers permission would be a felony. the government is well aware that there is a problem with the wording of this bill. its almost garunteed that it will be changed very soon :)
Wasted Bandwidth 2 Aug, 2011 @ 11:35pm
Internet would be almost useless for a VERY large variety of people
Acrid 2 Aug, 2011 @ 5:24pm
Is there any chance this bill will be put to the public to vote on?

It wouldn't get in the way of frag videos all that much (no one makes money off of that, to the best of my knowledge), but it's a worthless bill that'll just make more victimless crimes. Here's hoping it fails, which is quickly looking to be the case :).

Stupid lol its not making media illegal, its makeing copywrited media illegal, aka adding music to a fragging video would be illegal. if say the artist basshunter ads a song on tyoutube thats his, thats ok.
Outlander 9 Jul, 2011 @ 4:07pm
This act is a good one may I say, but if this bill does get stopped will people be able to copyright of other people? E.g Youtube videos.
MosDefCK 9 Jul, 2011 @ 9:20am
We can get states to nullify this bill.
Aboideaux 8 Jul, 2011 @ 11:31pm
I disagree with this bill 100% and should not be passed and if it does pass f**k the government! Mayans could be right about 2012....
General Goose 7 Jul, 2011 @ 10:29am
I feel that if the bill does pass, we can make a strong case that it is unconstitutional. I'm sure making "let's plays" comes under freedom of speech. :P

Racism played a huge role in the start of prohibiton. Some actual quotes used at the time by people who helped make it illegal: "“Marihuana influences Negroes to look at white people in the eye, step on white men’s shadows and look at a white woman twice.” " and "Reefer makes darkies think they’re as good as white men.” Since the plant was popular in the black and Mexican scene at the time, people found it to be threatening and used yellow journalism to make it illegal, as I said. It is really interesting how prohibition came about, I suggest you look into its history.
Crabby 5 Jul, 2011 @ 5:55pm
Not that i agree with this bill but i doubt forming a steam group against this bill will change anything...
Dabes 5 Jul, 2011 @ 3:12pm
this bill= going back to medieval ages
VladiMatt 5 Jul, 2011 @ 1:46pm
Bill S.978, the PATRIOT act, and prohibition are all unconstitutional and therefore cannot legally be signed into law. Why the American people have yet to forcefully throw out this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ government, I'll never know.
cchalz 5 Jul, 2011 @ 1:41pm
I don't think it is, but it is by the government, which is wrong, but, as stated before, ironic and stupid as hell to do considering you're living in the country.

I must give it to you that I agree that the laws against Marijuana are unfair, but how do they relate to racism?

Even though it's an invasion of privacy, it protects more than it harms. It's just like the cavity searches in airports, although they are unnecessary, they protect other passengers boarding the flight.

DAS BOSCHITT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Highly Refined Pirate 5 Jul, 2011 @ 6:34am
You think flag burning is considered terrorism? That's a laugh. I guess you think not supporting the war in Iraq is a way of supporting terrorism, too. It's a way of showing free political speech, which is normally the most protected form of free speech.

And prohibiton doesn't necessarily relate to free speech, but it is still unconstitutional because it restricts citizens from choosing what they want to put into their bodies. It is a law created off of nothing more than racism and yellow journalism.

And do you seriously think that the PATRIOT Act was done for the greater good? It is nothing more than a tactic used for Big Brother to control its citizens. "Those willing to give up freedom for security deserve neither." It's an invasion of privacy, and nothing more. I'm not trying to start a whole debate here, so we should just agree to disagree.
cchalz 4 Jul, 2011 @ 9:48pm
The PATRIOT Act was merely a way of protecting citizens, it was what needed to be done for the greater good. The Marijuana Prohibition has nothing to do with Freedom of Speech, and laws against flag burning may be a bit ridiculous, but why would someone live in a country and burn it's own flag? Silly, but reasonable, as it is considered terrorism and it promotes hate.

CurlyBF 3 Jul, 2011 @ 5:07pm
heard the supreme court already struck it down 7 to 2.. is this true?
Highly Refined Pirate 3 Jul, 2011 @ 3:51pm
@Arctic
Marijuana prohibiton, the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act, laws against flag burning. There's three.

Keep in mind I don't necessarily think this bill will pass, but it is definitely possible.

Not sure how many of you are friends of my friends, but for all of you: Thank you so much for helping to increase awareness.
Tack 2 Jul, 2011 @ 2:34pm
Passing of this bill is increasingly unlikely, since more and more of the internet's gaming community is becoming aware of this every minute. More awareness = more contacting of politicians in response. Hopefully we've opened some of their eyes.
