Welcoming all Rogue-Like fanatics!

This is a group for fans of Rogue-Like games. Rogue-like is a subgenre of Role-playing games that descend from the 1980's game ''Rogue'' and were originally characterized by their turn-based gameplay, procedurally generated levels and permadeath. Over the years, different variations to the formula have come been created, incorporating other genres and gameplay types. To differentiate the different variants of the genre, many nicknames have come up like ''Rogue-Lite'' and ''Procedural Death Labyrinth''. Whatever you choose to call them, they're games that we love, and probably why you came to this group in the first place.

To make things simple in regards to the group and what games we associate us with, we've decided to define Rogue-Likes by their most notable features; Permadeath and Procedurally generated levels. That's it. They can be First-Person Shooters, Platformers, Survival Horror games or classic turn-based Role-Playing games - As long as they feature these two elements they're welcomed here.

What we wish to achieve with this group is to form a great community of passionate gamers who all share our love for Rogue-Likes or just games in general. Feel free to create threads or join in on already existing ones, and remember to subscribe to the different forums to keep updated on what's getting posted.
