So I found the amulet and book, equipped amulet and when I try to use the book it says I already know this spell. Im having trouble figuring out the method.

I am on my best run ever. He can't be stopped. Killed the familiar, chi'ri, enemies I give the finger to etc. can't stop my guy but I still want to improve him best I can. I tried having him take on the dreadlord guy and he almost had it but had to use a time warp. Easy fix there though, already increased my magic protection and will increase poison and disease before I try him again. He has 17 strength (with spells) but I could go higher. Generally I have practically no magic because I don't no how to read so can't do runes so only two enchants on everything, he destroys me! is it viable to think I can kill him like this or do I need to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ him with OP magic like bir orb or something like that? More than 3 times I have died to him, If I get him low in melee dual wield he teleports me away and once i get to him again he is all healed up, if I use crossbow with slow and steady I just don't do enough dps to kill tentacles and boss.
