Pretzelhausen Cup Match Videos!

Hello you aspiring Pretzelhausen Cup winners!

The PA group will be creating a youtube channel where we can upload videos from the matches played in the Von Pretzelhausen Cup. If you record your matches, you can contact [PA] Volcaine and he will upload them to our official Von Pretzelhausen Cup Youtube channel for you.

We already have a few matches lined up that have been planned to be recorded and uploaded to the channel, including the much anticipated matchup of zetthen vs Timeforfun. It's sure to be a thriller, and you can check it out soon on our official tournament Youtube channel which will be announced here soon.

If you want your match to be recorded, but are unsure of how to do this, read below. You will need a video recording software such as Dxtory or Fraps. I recommend Dxtory because it does not lower your frame rate that much compared to Fraps. The following two links show excellent tutorials on how to use Dxtory or Fraps to record videos!

To celebrate the reset of the leaderboard scores [PA] "Party Animals" have come up with a great idea : organise a new tournament.

After the Moopsy Cup we are happy to announce the Von Pretzelhausen Cup open to anyone!

Overview :

32 participants minimum + substitutes replacing in case of abandon
Single elimination tournament type - 1V1 tournament

No loser brackets (maybe in future tournament if this one is succesful)

How to register :

1 - Add me [PA] TWTournament as friend

2 - Join the Tower wars Tournament Group

3 - Post a comment here with ONLY the following information :

- Country and town (for the time zone)
- Time frame when you can play - Days and time (to match you with somebody with the same timezone)
- Score before the reset and ranking if known

Rules :

Once we have the 32 names, I will give you the name of your opponent (who will be registered in the group). Add them as friends and you will need to set up a match with the following conditions :

- There will be 6 rounds (from 32 players to the final). This will run for max 6 weeks.

- Best of 3 - Please take a screenshot to prove your victory/defeat.

- Best of 5 for the final. It will need to be video recorded.

- 1st match you must use a random map, the loser chooses the next map and if a 3rd match should happen the 2nd match's loser chooses the next map.

- You are allowed to video record the match but you cannot live-stream it.

- The next rounds will be posted every week the same day. Ideally matches should be completed in within 3 days. I will give 3 extra days for people who could not organise a match in a timely manner. Failure to complete the games will result in automatic elimination. Failure to notify me in within 3 days will also result in elimination. The next rounds may be done sooner if everyone complies with the rules.

- If your opponent fails to show up, we will replace them with a substitute player but only in the first round. You should let me know ASAP if you don't want to be eliminated.

- Crashes and disconnections will be considered as a loss.

- This is based a lot on your honesty if you cannot video record it so please be fair and tell the truth. If both parties have contradicting version it may result in an investigation and one of the player will be eliminated.

- I will create a thread where everybody should report their match. Even if your opponent has already done it.

- Insults and misconduct will result in an elimination and interdiction to participate in future tournaments.

We are counting on you to actively participate and of course… GL HF :)

Conclusion :

Talk to the people around you, people you play against. If this tournament is a success, more will follow and why not even a 2v2 tournament!
