ABOUT Onslow Gamers Association

Onslow Fraggin'

Onslow Gamers Association was created with the purpose of pulling together local gamers in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and the greater area of Onslow County. At this time there are no direct plans to form a clan or a highly organized group. The association is intended to be loose in organization and participation. However, as the group grows, opportunities may evolve into online cooperative gaming, and who knows, maybe even a local LAN party.

We Have an Online Home Now... sort of.

We have a home now. There is a social networking site for Onslow County (it looks rather new to me). The site is: www.MyOnslow.com. It has profiles, allows groups, and forums. The admin has created a forum thread just for us. Swing by there when you have a chance to: create a profile, join the group Onslow Gamers Association, and edit your profile to include the games you participate in. This site should work for us for the time being.

In the meantime I will search the web for other players from other 'systems.'

The First Week of OGA... all is good!

It’s good to see so many Onslow gamers join up in about the 1st week, but I’m about tapped out with contacts; a steam community search only pulled up 50 locals and half of those haven’t logged in for the past few months. There has to be more of us, maybe 400 or 500 locals (guessing) on steam who just haven’t included regional data in their profile. So if you know anyone local who plays online, then send’em our way. In the meantime I’ll leave the group ‘open’ for joining so long as we don’t attract attention-starved little kids or nutjobs.

In the meantime I’ll look around online to see if there’s a way we can connect with others in the local gaming community (console gamers, etc); maybe find a website that can bridge steam and other games. I never really put any planning into this, so any suggestions or feedback is always appreciated.

Anyways, have fun killing others online.
