Hello! And welcome to the Counter-Strike: Source No Mod Boycott! Compelled by our love of the Legacy Source Engine (in comparison to the Orange Box Source Engine), Counter-Strike: Source, and our community, we feel the need to speak out against this, the Counter-Strike: Source Update 2010. This group has three goals:




1) To compile a list of all the things we have lost in this update and demand back.
2) To boycott new purchases of Counter-Strike: Source, in addition to not playing Counter-Strike: Source, deteriorating its stats until it falls off of the Top 10 Steam Games:

3) To build a dedicated officer body for building our movement and bringing our requests to VALVe.

What we want back:
●The ability to change your name to something other than your Steam name.
●The "new graphics" that are no different than the old graphics take either twice as much memory or twice as much processing power, as an example I personally went from ~60 FPS to an ~15 FPS, usually at 10 and peaking at 20. These graphics should be reevaluated by VALVe to support users with older computers.
●The -tickrate command line option for changing tickrate to 100 (update locks all servers at 66 tick).
●The new background for CSS makes connect and disconnect messages illegible.
●The ability to slap users (cannot slap users using admin plugins such as sm_slap or ma_slap).
●Ragdolls no longer work, they put their hands to their head in fear.
●Deagle hitboxes returned to normal (Challenged).
●net_graph 3 capable of disabling that annoying graph.
