7 sezondur blizzard bünyesinde Battle.net'te satışa sunulmuş olan Destiny 2 steame transfer olarak Destiny 2-new light adı ile steamde ücretsiz olarak oyunculara sundu.
Bir çok oyun modu bulunan oyunda uzun zamandır blizzard severler tarafından oynanmakta idi. 1 ekim itibari ile steame geçiş yapan oyun ilk versiyonunu ücretsiz yapmış bulunmakta.
