IF YOU WANT TO SHINE LIKE A SUN; FIRST BURN LIKE A SUN!

To All Members,

DOTA 2 has been an escape and a refuge for our solitary lives of working as Filipino Expatriates here in U.A.E. and the Middle East; It takes away some of the loneliness we OFW face here and makes it more enjoyable and fun.

As a brief history, this group started after a year of playing of DOTA 2 at Dubai Server and making a couple of friends online. Initially "Team New Haven" was created for a simple reason; we wanted to experience what it feels like playing as an official team, like the pros with banners and logos and participating in the weekly Battle cup tournaments. We are not strong players, mostly guys with 2k MMRs or less, but we sure did enjoy playing together. Couple of months passed, and we met more people online that wanted the same experience and same enjoyment. So the group grew.

As the group name implies, "New Haven", derived from the word "Haven" meaning "a place of safety or refuge". The team/group, New Haven, is to serve as a refuge for us OFW DOTA Players staying here in the Middle East. The group is intended to bond Filipino expatriates that shares the same interest with the Game, and help each other grow with our different game styles.


If you’re wondering if there are any rules in the group, there are some;

1.) Have respect for your fellow team members even if they have played badly or fed the enemy team. Everybody has a bad day.

2.) Know your game style and your team mate’s position; not all members can be carry. Support if needed and off lane if tank is required. Be part of the team and WIN as a team.

3.) Don’t talk trash to the enemy team, unless they started it, then just keep quiet till MEGA CREEPS comes then RELEASE THE KRAKEN!

4.) Just have FUN! Losing happens but if you had fun even losing will not feel so bad, then you can really say GGWP :)
