The original Mic Snobs TF2 turns 10 years old this week. The server launched on the 17th, but the idea was born the day before after the 24/7 Doublecross server that preceded us imploded.

In honor of MicS surviving for a decade, we're going to have a party. The plans is to run either stock Doublecross or maybe one of the remixes around 9PM Eastern on Tuesday the 16th. I suggest arriving early to insure a player slot.

There will be some giveaways, both of the Assailant (shiny TF2 bauble, possibly some Steam keys) and Kermit (random punishing debuff) varieties. We might even spam a few Secret Saxtons.

Good evening fellow snobs.

I hear there are some folks around here that want some free things. Well, I think I got something for you. A new contest should do nicely. So nicely that it will pull you all away from your phones for a few moments. Now that I have your attention, I will provide your mission:

We have a terrible Sniper infestation on the server. Our engineers have tried fog, bananas, even Vaccinators. Yet, we have had no luck. That is where you snobs come in. We need you all to remove these snipers for us; but this requires some extra flair to it. We have removed all your primary and secondary weapons for this mission. That's right, you will be fighting in *non-critical/mini-critical* melee combat. Mano y Mano.

Quite exhilarating right? Oh? What is it? whisper whisper whisper Oh right, your reward. We have those. Many of them actually:

1st Place: A BRAND SPANKING NEW Unusual! (New to you that is.)
2nd Place through 5th Place: A nice orangey, freshly restarted Strange! We painted it orange this morning. Paint isn't dry yet. MAYBE EVEN a pristinely pressed cosmetic ready for the wearing! (Due to lack of funds, the bugs were not removed.)

No hold on there you energetic murderer, we got some restrictions here:
- No Spies. That is too easy now. We deserve challenges, not work done in our sleep. Also, they are critical kills
- No Demoknights. Sorry Speedy Scots. We can’t be having you all breaking those Speed Limits. Also, critical kills/mini-critical are things those Scots have. And shields.
- Custom Nights do not count toward these numbers just because HLStats is not on the server

Rather enticing right? Well, what are you doing? Get goin… what? When does it start?? RIGHT NOW! When does it end? Why do you have so many questions? It ends at the end of the month. There, happy? Now leave me alone. I have some more events to plan for the summer.

i miss playing on this server - was always a blast and great players . everytime I try to connect it seems to time out. tried going through battlemetrics and appear to have the current server IP but no success. Would appreciate any guidance if possible.
