This group was formed while, "Savage: Battle for Newerth" was enjoying a secondary rise in it's playerbase. This time included the wide acceptance and use of the EX2 mod and the homepage related to EX2: clansavage.com (it's gone, sadly).

This was Savage's Renaissance.

Savage eventually died out and as well EX2. This killed the heart of the game for many and the game was never the same again. Current players, for now, can enjoy Savage in a heavily re-worked version at Newerth (first link below).

Lastly, while the newer versions of "Savage" have their own personalities and shining points... The developers apparently didn't understand their own game (plus the gamers that joined the team) and in their great wisdom made a sequel that had little comparison to the original other than art and names.

That's why when we play other games or Savage, from time-to-time, we really do like to make others whine.

Plus, we just like to do it.
