About Last Regret:

Last Regret was founded by Sniper and Leo, both established Left 4 Dead 2 Realism Expert players, who’ve felt the default Realism Expert settings lacked substance and allowed for poor player mechanics. The main goal of this group is to provide its’ members a level of difficulty worthy of a true apocalypse were the player must choose between himself and the good of the team.

Expert Realism Enhanced:

From easy to expert a number of what are called cvars are modified to change the game's difficulty. What "Expert Realism Enhanced" means is to take a step beyond realism expert and offer experienced players a challenege otherwise not available in Left 4 Dead 2.

Multi-Tank finales: 3 per wave on average
Multi-Tank maps: Some maps will have 2 tanks at once. (prevent Rushers)
Special infected rates increased (dramatically)
Tank Health and Tank Burn Time doubled
Zombie awareness increased (dramatically)
Zombie count: background population and number in hordes increased
Zombie horde timings decreased (more frequent)

Connecting to the server:

Only members of Last Regret can start the server. Once the game has begun, any player on your friends list or friend who shares a relational link from another group, can join the server.

Steam Group Server: From the game lobby menu, select “Steam Group Server”. Click “Start Game” and you’ll be shown a window listing steam group servers. Highlight “Last Regret” then click on “Join game” to connect.
Best Available Dedicated: The group server doesn’t always show up in the steam group list. When that happens, you have to select “Best Available Dedicated” from the game lobby menu. Before you can connect, you must first open your game console by pressing the tilde key and entering the following command: mm_dedicated_force_servers 173.199.99.5:27025 . Press enter, close the console, then on “Start Game” to connect.

Servers updated: Valve broke steam group server listings

Last Regret Texas and Georgia are updated. Unfortunately, Valve broke steam group server listings so you will have to manually enter the server ip's if you want to play on the server.

You need to create a lobby, open your console with the ` key, and type:
mm_dedicated_force_servers "<IP:PORT>"

For Texas:
mm_dedicated_force_servers "173.199.99.5:27025"

For Geogia:
mm_dedicated_force_servers "108.61.236.14:27025"

Then you can click on join game and it should connect as long as the server isn't already occupied.

With No Regrets gone, i'm gonna take this as an opportunity to shamelessly promote a public steam group for a server similar to NR:

Nobody should need to worry about needing to be invited to some private group, as i will always keep this public.
Also, don't interpret this as me trying to poach LR players. LR is a different experience, and i appreciate the work that's gone into it. I'm only posting this for the people who want another SI focused server

that update was the one that fixed the issue where people would get redirected to random servers while already in game. Maybe this change was necessary in fixing that issue
