The Rise

Men, wemon, brothers, and sisters. Sons and Daughters of mighty Sparta. We have been on a vast war path. We thought nothing could stop us, we thought we where unbeatable. Finally on this day, we have been tested, we have fallen.

The Roman army has beaten us. We are down, but we must rise up, out of the darkness, out of the abyss, out of this ever-lasting plunge. We must fight, for now we are on the defensive, they must charge at our spears, our pikes, and most of all, our love for war.

Today was very bleak. We have lost many true men today, and I hope they are now dining upon the gods, smiling down at us. We must show that their blood was not wasted in vain. Ares! Send us your arms! Apollo! Send us your light! Hercules! Send us your strength!

Zeus would not be proud of what we did today. We will however, make him proud of what we do tomorrow.

Now, Spartans tend to your families, show them love. For we have a name to live up to.

Starting today Commanders are being sought out to do battle with the enemies of Sparta. Anyone who has the game of Rome Total War or Rome II Total War is welcome to try out for a positon of power among some of the best commaders in the Ancient World. Fellow Spartans. We have war and more wars will come. We have to train for battles and train to siege the Poleis of our enemys. Remember our Argogaie and join the training units.
