Under Karl XII and his Leadership, Sweden saw some of the greatest successes of the Early Modern Era and was a true underdog of its time. However, in hindsight, failure to secure a lasting, positive peace would prove the undoing of the growing baltic empire, and eventually it would find itself crumbled under its own Military Machine.

Today, however, we stand before this, in 1698. In 1698, the Great Northern War was yet to begin, and Sweden was set to begin her own destiny on the world with a battle hardened professional army and a loyal troop of mercenaries that were more than capable of holding their own.

In parliament, a battle between conservatives wanting a strong king and parliamentarians was soon to fire, and the constant political strife will surely be mimicked here. How will you decide the fate of Sweden and her people? Will she stand the test of time (Civ 5 Reference lol)

It will now be the policy of the Swedish State to maintain a state of military preparedness. The Kingdom of Sweden must at all times be ready to face any threat, foreign or domestic.

Sweden must now raise itself above all Scandinavian nations. it is the responsibility of Sweden to lead Scandinavia and to ensure Swedish dominance in the region.

It should be the goal of the Swedish nation and people to work towards the establishment of a United Scandinavian Empire under the Swedish flag.

Any who wish to challenge Swedish power and dominance will be dealt with swiftly. The Era of Swedish neutrality and peace is over.

It is time for the rebirth of the Swedish Empire.
We will make Carolus Rex's dreams come true.

Scandinavia will be Swedish.

It would seem that our Napoleonic RP community is beginning to deteriorate. The French have gone to a different time period and the Russians and Prussians are considering doing the same.

From the Desk of His Royal Majesty the King;

His Royal Majesty the King met with His Imperial Majesty, Konstantin, Tsar of all the Russias to discuss the future of Ruso-Swedish Relations. An agreement was reached where Sweden would cede Finland to Russia, with the execption of the Aaland Islands. In return a 15 year long non-agression pact between Sweden and Russia will be put into effect, along with a trade agreement.

With the signing of this treaty, all Swedish forces and assests will be pulled out of Finland by means of the Royal navy. His Majesty the King will be meeting with the Russian foreign minister in the coming days to discuss the particulars of the trade agreement.
