Many years ago, the Soul Society was in a great crisis and so a man named Shigekuni Yamamoto recruited 12 brutal killers and criminals to join the Gotei 13 and become captains of "Divisions." During his search for the most vile criminals, he came across a man named Ashtad Kara, who called himself Ashtad Karahime- the King of District 50- Kara. Shigekuni managed to persuade him to be the fifth man in his cause- the future first 6th Division Captain. Once made a captain, he created a noble Clan for himself in the Seireitei, becoming the third noble among the Divisions- thus making Karahime Clan the Third highest Noble Clan.
