Why Ink's Playground?

The average age of the gamer these days is getting older and with age unfortunately comes other responsibilities. Not everyone can reliably be online 7 nights a week, and when you can get online to play there is no guarantee that the planets have aligned and your friends have also got that time to play. So inevitably what you do is server-hop around, get in a few games with minimal communication and teamwork and then call it a night. Right?

This is where Ink's Playground comes in. If your anything like me, knowing in advance that people you know and like are going to be around at a certain place and time makes things a whole lot simpler to plan around, and a lot more enjoyable. And then on those other times your online and looking for a game - well there's this handy Steam Group to show you who's online and quickly organise a game or 5.

Had a bad experience with user-run servers in the past? I'm going to be as hands-off in my interference on these servers as possible. That is to say, I'm not going to be jumping into games and telling people how to play. I'm not going to be booting people to make room for others (including myself), or spontaneously changing server settings because I feel like it. I'm going to provide a place to meet, some regular events to look forward to and some high-level monitoring of the goings on on the servers to make sure that asshats have as little impact as possible and the sense of community is upheld.

Currently Ink's Playground is running servers on Normal, Hard and Suicidal difficulties. Server upgrades are penned in for mid-march, at which point we will likely also have a Hell On Earth server, and a Hard Custom-Maps-Only server. They will be running for as long as its needed. All players of all perk levels welcome, always.
