For the Empire and for the Emperor!

The Empire of Tamriel was the Cyrodillic empire. It began with the rule of Emperor Tiber Septim, and lasted right through until the end of the dynasty, with Martin Septim. After Martin Septim's death, the Elder Council struggled to maintain the Empire. The Empire was eventually taken over by a Colovian Warlord named Titus Mede I, after the beginning of the 4th Era. Groups such as the Stormcloaks and Grey-Manes opposed this type of government in favor of local and separately governed states or provinces.
