ABOUT Friendship Isle

It's Easier to Rebuild a House than it is to Rebuild Trust.

Friendship Isle is a nation in Rust, which is a survival game. To be a part of this nation you must first understand what we are and follow a few simple rules. Friendship Isle is a collection of strangers who are sick of getting killed on sight by other strangers. For this to work we must trust each other, defend one another, and not piss off outside people or clans. For this goal I have created a few rules.

Rules:

1.)Never shoot first while on our territory or when representing us (i.e. saying "I am from Friendship Isle"), unless an organized attack is being made against us and the enemy is easily identified.

2.) Don't kill or harm another resident unless you've made some kind of homicide agreement.

3.) Don't steal or vandalize the property of other residents.

4.) Don't ignore contracts (i.e. when trading) or otherwise be a ♥♥♥♥.

5.) Build at least 10m (30ish feet) outside of all other residents' cupboard ranges.

6.) When you are a guest in someone's home, you have two options: follow their rules, or leave.

These rules should keep any reasonable person happy. If they don't make you happycomplain to me and I'll consider your complaint.

A few things about our society:

1.) We have no leader. I am the founder (Cakemate) and I set the rules, I help people out, I moderate, and I am happy to meet people. I try to keep the rules as minimal as possible while still keeping things civil. I don't give orders. You can form groups and clans within our nation and choose leaders or you can be completely solo (which I personally like to do).

2.) Our rules simply prohibit negative interaction. Any positive interaction is completely by choice. Accomodation, gifting, or sharing is voluntary.

3.) Anyone who can follow our rules is welcome, regardless of their beliefs or whatever else stupid things people get hung up on.

4.) We hang our flag on all our buildings to signify our unity and for friend identification, since we may not always be together spatially.

5.) If someone says mean or offensive things, get over it, words and opinions can't hurt you, and you're physically protected by our rules.

6.) We encourage trade because it allows people to focus on what they enjoy or what they are good at. Remember though, your items are only worth what someone else is willing to pay. Also, natural resources (ore nodes, rivers, trees, animals) can't be owned. You can only own what you have on you, in your house, or plants planted in planters.
