Server isn't up anymore due to a lack of significant interest. If people were interested in a return, I'm always glad to put in the time and money to bring the server back, but 2 people doesn't justify the cost and effort required to bring it back and maintain a healthy level of activity.
If there was enough interest, and Minecraft was still (somehow) active enough to support the server in terms of player count, then I'd be more than happy to set it back up, but as it stands, that doesn't seem like it will happen.
