The purpose of this group is NOT to hate on anyone who's using Epic Games Store, nor to harass them. We are simply taking stance against Epic's questionable and anti-consumer business practices.

We believe video games industry is strong, however... Epic Games seeks to fracture the market with exclusivity deals and by shoving EOS up to our throats.

If you disagree with their practice of buying out games that were originally promised on Steam or GoG, as well as you don't take kindly EOS spyware then feel free to join us

This is very personal announcement for me with my opinion and the real truth.
We have been very long road since Metro Exodus Epic exclusivity that pushed us forming Epic Games Sucks, before ♥♥♥♥ Epic Games (because ♥♥♥♥ you Reddit) back in 2019 when Epic did the Switch and bait with exclusives most us recognised Epic would priories developer interests first and consumers last.
Epic have done so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥ actions years forward that lower consumer standards for the sake of Tim Sweeny will. Spying Steam data for friends exporting (2019), blow up Apple relationship for 88/12 cut (I lost games lol) (2020), forcing EOS into older game I did not ask for (2021) and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EAC. Other problems indirectly: not optimising Unreal Engine, unshameful crypto allowance on EGS, buying studios and destroying their products, many Fortnite controversies (auto purchasing lootboxes) and publishing Alan Wake 2 (they did not steal this tho).
But one thing we don't see Epic doing much now it haven't been much doing lately been forcing Epic exclusives and relevant ones, all the important publishers have done it at least once have been criticised for it but isn't this a win for us? Its not much today with day 1 on Steam too but it would have been much more appreciate at much earlier and we complain about other issues recent times its we are on undefined terms what is exactly win when there is no open war? Epic still have problems talk about Id think it important to protest for consumer rights.
We have gained lot too with past years many developers going to Steam such as EA coming back, Xbox publishing more games, Bethesda disconnecting their launcher, Activision coming back even with Blizzard games and Sony making PC ports (since most PS5 buyer doesn't even care about 1 first party games).
How does it fit the group now?

The reality now people doesn't care about Epic exclusives anymore and less about the other problems for that we have gained fewer member past year and pushed over 15000 (16300) member last year so thank you all for coming here even if you came today or five years ago.
Most of us staff team have been trying diligently watch over the community, making curator, posting news and even making guide how to block EOS and delete Epic account. We done most of it ourselves but we are also busy people with real life and we have to let go handful of people because there other things do in life that's why we haven't posted much recent year, we or rather me (poster) I'm the skeleton crew now. I have enough of myself but I want to continue protesting Epic and want much better standard as we consumer should deserve more.
Its your choice to continue or move on, but you folks are still welcome staying here.

I am going watching over here for while so I will remove those pesky scambots and "award for award accounts".
Since I`m going to continue I think the community deserves more than silence, the community needs more people who can take action. I want you to join staff.
My recommendations to joining me who can curating Steam curator, making occasionally news outlet and researching on Epic engineering environment (EOS and UE commenting).

Well well well.. If you thought the Ubisoft's troubles can't get any worse, then I have a surprise for you... Tencent (De facto Tim Sweeny's pimp), the arch enemy itself, is already laying plans for Ubisoft's uncertain future.

According to Bloomberg sources, the Chinese conglomerate – which already owns around 10% of Ubisoft – and Guillemot Brothers Ltd have been speaking with advisers to explore ways to stabilize Ubisoft.

One of the possibilities discussed would involve teaming up to take Ubisoft private, it’s claimed, though talks are said to be at an early stage, and there’s no certainty they will lead to action.

Tencent and the Guillemot family are also considering other alternatives, according to Bloomberg.

Last month, Ubisoft‘s share price dropped to its lowest point in nearly 11 years. The most recent dips followed Ubisoft’s announcement that it had delayed Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and the disappointing launch performance of Star Wars Outlaws.

Earlier in September, a minority investor called on Ubioft’s management to take the company private or let it be sold to a strategic investor.

Hedge fund AJ Investments published an open letter calling for strategic and structural changes at Ubisoft.

It urged the board to consider taking the company private, “implement a comprehensive cost reduction program and optimize staffing levels to be more comparable with industry leaders,” increase its focus on core IPs, and consider replacing current CEO Yves Guillemot.

Slovakia-based AJ Investments holds less than 1% in Ubisoft.

Think of it what you want, even be happy with further Ubisoft's downfall if you like, but know this: Whatever the outcome may be here, it doesn't look good when when Epic's sugar daddy, Tencent is involved. Period.
