After many months of preperation and negotiation the noble representatives of the Kingdoms of Portugal, Spain and Great Britain have gathered, discussed and agreed on the following terms:

• The countries shall open their trade posts for each other's merchant ships.
  
• Trade between them shall flow undisturbed.
  
• In case of a piracy scenario, the agreed countries shall co-operate together.
  
• Each country shall be free to raise their tarrifs and income taxes accordingly retaining taxation as their unrevoked sovereign right.

The treaty shall take place at once.

In Madrid The King has recently announced that, to reconnect with the vast colonies of the Spanish Empire, which for a long time have been growing ever more unstable, the administration of the Empire will change, with local elections to elect representitives to the Spanish Court, from La Plata to Mexico, these representitives will be given pride of place within the Spanish court at Madrid, and it is hoped that these representitives will be able to further sate the colonies and their people. In addition, a fleet has been sent to Havana, to protect the colonies from any threats that may present themselves, alongside armies to La Plata, Mexico, Cuba and Florida.

Sultan Selim III hopes to improve relations with the Empires of Europe and to improve the Ottoman Economy through trade. However, with the new tariffs enforced by the Sultan, the Empires of Europe may not be so willing to trade.

In Cairo Egyptian Explorers began a journey to discover new lands south of Egypt. They plan on following the Nile River and hope to claim new territories for the Ottoman Empire. The Sultan encourages Ottoman Citizens in Egypt to give these explorers food, water, and shelter.

The Austrian Emperor has shown interest in forming trade agreements with three great powers of the Kindom of France, the Russian Empire and Great Britain. Furthermore a group of delegates have already met with the Pope in Rome to finalise a trade agreement between the two great nations in the hope that relations between the Holy Roman Empire and the papacy may be improved somewhat.

The Archduchy of Austria is also looking to form a Holy Roman Catholic trade union with various other catholic states within the Holy Roman Empire. So that catholic nations may come together and benefit each other by trade against the threat of the gowing protestant faith in the Europe.

Emperor Franz Joseph has accepted the invitation to Istanbul to discuss with the Sultan a possible peace treaty and hopes that the Empress of Russia will also arrive there. So that both Austria and Russia may push the Ottomans into a more benificial peace deal.

For a long time now the Archduchy of Austria and Venice have been rivals and it seems relations are turning even more sour between them. Land and trade disputes have riddled the diplomacy between these two nations and both heads of state are getting to a boiling point about the relations. It seems if something drastic doesn't happen soon to help these two nations then the question will be, when will the war occur and not if it will happen.
