Warring with France since 1444!

EU Goons is a Steam Group dedicated to the latest in Paradox Interactive's grand strategy video game series, Europa Universalis IV. Whilst singleplayer and playing against the AI is fun where the game really hits its' stride is in multiplayer and interaction between other players as they form coalitions or, much more likely, back-stab one another so as to gain power at the expense of others! The main aim of the group is to make it easier to set up and organise multiplayer sessions. Using both this thread and the group itself it will be trivial for those wanting to take part in a game to find one or create their own. That isn't to say that the group can't also be used for just talking about the game and chilling out with fellow EU players.

How to Join:

* Post in the thread with your Steam ID/link to your profile to receive an invite
* PM me or message me over Steam and I'll add you

If you have non-Goon friends who may be interested I have no problem with them joining the group and playing so long as you can vouch that they're fine and are able to follow normal SA rules when within the group. The big issue is making sure we have people that are able to commit to playing the game whenever it is scheduled and to not drop out from games frequently.

Organising multiplayer games:

If you're looking to run an EU game make a post in the thread and/or on the group discussion page. Try and list the number of people you ideally would like before you start, how often you would like to host the game and everything to do with timing such as how long for and the timezone you would be playing in. This is just to help those who are interested in joining know if your game is right for them and that they are able to attend at the time(s) you specify. Also mention if there's any house-ruling you're going to be running with like disallowing players from picking certain nations or abusing certain game-breaking bugs. The more detailed the post the better!

When you think you're ready to get the game going and have enough people on board let me know and tell me the times that you want the game to run and I will schedule events on the group calendar so people can see when next sessions are etc. You can also continue to use a thread on the group discussion page to continue chatting about the game and discussing things with your fellow nations. If someone disappears or drops out from a game feel free to make another post asking for how many more you need or, if you want, which country you would specifically like someone to jump in as.

If you are having difficulty joining others games always remember to check your checksum!

Rules

* Standard SA rules apply, don't be a douche etc.
* Continually dropping out of hosting/running games may make others loathe to have you in their game!
* Have fun crushing/being crushed by empires
