1) Delete your gfx folder in Documents/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis 4/ folder.
2) Install the 1.8.1 beta patch to help with stability OOS issues. You can either install the patch via the download on the main forum or simply by enabling it on steam under properties and the beta tab.
3) If you're having trouble running the game turn down all graphics settings under video in the options.
