A community for European English Speaking (to some Extent) EU4 Players

This community is for players met during or in the making of our multiplayer Europa Universalis 4 Multiplayer Matches and are deemed worthy to be invited (in terms of trust and loyalty rather than skill as in my case).

The matches that take part here will be long and rehost will be held if important people are left behind. This is a warning given in all matches but in case you forgot I thought i'd tell you here.

Events will be created to designate the next multiplayer match. We did go through a streak of having a game a day but this may not always happen. Any of the Officers/Moderators may propose an event put so there are no upsets or time wastes please make sure there is a good host available.

Known Good Hosts are as follows: paulnix98 and Flying_Starfish. More will of course be added to the list. To be a good host you must be able to first host with at least speed two and to not abuse your powers as host by kicking people who don't work with you.

Rules in Game:
No more than two major power alliances if you are a major power. This will be determined by the ingame "competing great power" modifier or if it is agreed among players that you are a great power.

No destroying your nation before you leave, this may include; massive loans, amassing a large coalition unreasonably, vassal releasing, declaring war on vassal. Of course if you are staying for the next rehost you may do any of at your own risk.

Damaging your nation in favour of another player. For Example; mass selling provinces unjustifiably, fake wars to prevent vassals from rebelling or to give something that you can't give through diplomacy through war (like vassal trades). Etc. (selling provinces is allowed as long as it is reasonable, like Burgundy selling french cores to ensure peace with France).

Of course there is having fun and making it fun for other player, don't annihalate beyond repair other players, don't be unneccsarily rude in chat and so on.

Patch Troubles and reminder for Post Match Game (please read last Paragraph)

Numerous issues have arisen regarding the new patch, from issues with saving to the game being unplayable without the DLC. As such I felt I should bring up a few things that may help starting a new game with this patch.

First and foremost; for those who have still not managed to make the game work here are three main tips from the forums:
-Revert to an older patch and delete all your saves, this seems to be one of the few ways to actually fix the issue with the Saved Game Tab.
-Delete all mods, regardless of whether they are activated or not, soon a hotfix will get realeased to deal with many of these issues and after that you can have all your mods back i'm sure.
-Unistall then reinstall then check the integrity of the Game Cache.
If it still doesn't work after this you may want to go to the forums and find out what else may help you.

Two; the actual game has been called unplayable by some, admitedly I didn't actually experiance this until today and I believe the issues with this patch come from a nations economy being unmanagable early in the game, this is most obvious with large nations (Austria for me).
-My first recommendation is start as a small nation, I had great games as the Teutons, Savoy and Brandenburg.
-My second recommendation is if you must be a big nation or want to try out the new HRE things and choose Austria is to mothball forts alot of the time, if not just get rid of some of them. Lower Maintenance religiously and stockpile money before wars and to avoid being at your forcelimit and only really having all the troops you need not all the troops you can have.
-Don't know what to say about affording ships as I haven't tried playing a nation that needs them. My nations always became more affordable when I just scrapped y fleets so if you need them as Castille or England I have no advice for you sorry.

Finally I hope all issues are fixed in preparation for Friday's match, please comment if you are able to attend this Friday and in case there aren't enough people on Friday if Saturday is a better option for you. I shall demonstrate below.

After Patch Event

Due to many people being busy during the week the post-patch event has been moved until friday, as the students here should at least be free for friday and the employed may have work on saturday or may not but normally we get the most and best games on friday.

I would like for as many people to be there as possible, as i'm sure everyone wants a big game with completely new rules which we all may or may not understand :P

I think I should be able to play on Friday. I had some troubles with the game but I think it should be playable. They always mess up with the patches sigh... if the game doesn't work revert to an older patch or just wait until the next hotfix will come out in a week or so.
