Fans of Revolution Software's Broken Sword series, which debuted with 1996's Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars, will be pleased to know that a fifth game is in development. Revolution Software has been self funding this sequel for the last six months, but now, they need additional funding. This is where you, the fans, come in. You can pledge to their cause on Kickstarter, and receive some pretty nifty rewards in the process. See the link below to learn more about Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse.

If you love games by Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert, you will LOVE the Tex Murphy games! They are great detective games set in the 2040s in San Francisco, and they have exciting noir mystery stories, interesting characters, great acting, fun adventuring, and a nice dash of humor. All five of the old Tex Murphy games are on GOG.com . There is also a Kickstarter project for the game that will be a modern sequel to the last Tex Murphy game (made in 1998). The Kickstarter ends on Friday, June 15 at 11:51 PM MDT, which is in less than 44 hours!

The Two Guys from Andromeda, known on Earth as Mark Crowe and Scott Murphy (a.k.a. the creators of the Space Quest series) are running out of time on their SpaceVenture Kickstarter. They have less than three days to raise the remaining 100K of their $500,000 goal. If you have not yet backed them, be sure to do so.

Also, while there, be sure to "pay" Tex Murphy a visit. He will be glad that you did.

Thanks for the invite! I just now found out about this! Wow! A big fan of the old skool LA SCUMM games, and Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert's stuff most of all. I just donated $100. Not unreasonable when you consider how often we have a new Tim Schafer/Ron Gilbert P&C adventure game.

>implying traditional video game publishing models are still relevant
>implying this game and psychonauts 2 aren't going to be commercially successful in spite of all the times the suits rejected schafer and gilbert's proposals
