Derbies R Us Guys

[DRuG] was formed on the 2nd of November, 2003.

Originating from an online game of GTA:Vice City, NikT and SpngBb (later Raider) met for a game of destruction derby. It was there that the idea for a derby clan was devised, and hence [DRuG] was born.

Names for the new clan were thrown up in the air, including DC (Derby Clan), then DRU (Derbies R Us). A sharp comment from Misterquicks, who exclaimed that the new clan be called DRUG (Derbies R Us Guys), which was met to unanimous support. It was then agreed to modify this suggestion to our permanent name, [DRuG].

[DRuG], simply put, are a great group of people doing what they like best.

Grit Engine has sound now.

Hey Crew,
Recently, NTAuthority (Alter IW Net, Open Vice) added Sound to Grit. There have been a lot of advancements since I last spoke to anyone on TS about the engine. I hope to see you guys around. gtanet IRC, #gritengine. Will probably be on TS to catch up soon. Easier than GTA, open, and no EULA that says anything you release belongs to Take2.Rockstar - whatever you make in grit core, is yours (with respect that the core is completely open and free) and any game you release built upon grit is yours (with the MIT license, this is freedom).

I hope to see some of you guys on the chat, if I'm not there (brian) tag Spark (lead programmer) or keep an eye out for me to come tug sleeves in the TS =)
