Deranged eSports

OUR HISTORY

Deranged eSports was founded on Wednesday 15th August 2018 by Ben Farrelly, an Northern Irish Counter-Strike IGL who has a history of playing within many competitive online gaming environments but found difficulty making progress in the eSports scene due to a lack of opportunities for eSports in Northern Ireland. After playing for multiple other teams and amateur eSports organisations, Bainio (Ben) quickly discovered that most eSports teams that play in the amateur level either were only interested in quick profit and in scamming potential young eSports talents, or he found that they lacked the knowledge and ability to provide what those players needed. After this realisation, Ben decided to start his own CS:GO team called Deranged.CS which eventually, and unknowingly, was the first step in the development of this eSports organisation.

After the formation of the first CS:GO roster there was some time before the idea of developing the team into an organisation was seriously considered. However, after Ben spoke with his teammates and then some other members of the CS:GO community he discovered that people were interested in the idea of a grassroots organisation that used mutual success to uplift all of its members and after some debate with Nick (Qumumba), James (Pocket), Jordan (Stitch_56), Jan (Nightmare) and Keegan (KEEGS) he decided to form a second CS:GO roster with players from his past teams, friends and other members of the CS:GO community that were trialled.

However we consider the true start to the organisation to be when he first incorporated a second eSports title and we transitioned from Deranged.CS to Deranged eSports. Keegan introduced Ben to Brad (StayQuattroLow), an American PUBG player who hoped to make it into the competitive scene growing around the new eSports title of 2018. After exchanging some initial messages it took a couple months for Brad to gather the first PUBG roster and bring it over to Deranged, where the transition from CS:GO roster to Organisation began. From there we have continued to expand with multiple teams now fielded across both CS:GO and PUBG with aspirations to expand into more titles in the future.

We want to develop and grow our established teams, by providing the players all the tools they need to maximise their potential and to reach their aspirations.
We seek to build a network of talented staff that will allow us to give our players the edge they need to take the next step in their eSports careers.

OUR VISION

We aspire to become a household name in eSports, to field teams across a number of eSports titles at both professional and semi-professional levels.
We aim to invest in the development of the eSports community in areas where eSports is not yet an established industry and in developing talents across the world.
