DH Public Realism Scrims

The purpose of this group is to provide players interested in realism scrims a means by which to be automatically invited by organizers.

Conversely, Administrators and organizers of public scrims can use the group to invite players to their public scrim events.

Please contact a group admin for admin authorization if an organizer, or contact any member for an invite to the group.

Realism Scrims
Realism Scrims can be organized in numerous ways and have a number of variants and special rules. Below description covers a typical scrim.

A realism scrim can be defined as a match played with a single life per player without respawns.

Virtual mortality underlines the importance of teamwork and coordinated play in order to stay alive while reaching objectives set by the scrim organizer.

Teams are typically divided in an initiation phase as team leaders select their teams. One team then joins *axis*, the team leaders designate squadleaders, and squadmembers and weapons.

A typical match lasting about 20 minutes after going live and several matches are generally played in sequence to avoid spending time reorganizing teams.

The organizer sets match rules and objectives and is the scrim referee. His or her decisions are final.

Generally remember that you are a guest on a server and a guest of the admin organizing the scrim. Setups take a lot of time if players decide to second guess referee/organizer decisions and this should be avoided. Most scrims do have a debriefing stage at the end when commenting on organization and setup is generally encouraged.

Clan recruiting should not be done on servers hosted by other clans.
