Rules.

Maintain a fun environment for all to experience.

Be respectful.

Be honest.

Do not be a ♥♥♥♥. If you don’t like someone or their build, keep it to yourself, bring the matter to the attention of an admin, or find another server; that simple.

Do not grief. Builds that are so large that they cause latency and stability issues with servers will have to be removed. You will be notified if this is the case, but if the situation persists or it feels you are purposely griefing the server or the players on it, you and your profile will be removed immediately.

This is a mild role play server, there is no need to type in any specific manner and any display of intolerance for anyone not “role playing” will be addressed by the admins. If you want to be an explorer: explore. You want to be a pirate: pirate. You want to be a trader: trade. You want to be a ♥♥♥♥: go somewhere else or the admins will grief you ourselves.

Absolutely NO racism whatsoever! If you make racist comments or respond with derogatory racist remarks in the server you will not only be removed from the server, but also reported to Steam/Valve incorporated in any/every way possible. It’s simple: don’t ♥♥♥♥♥♥’ do it.

Also, like being in a bar/club: no conversations about religion, politics, or money please. These tend to be sensitive subjects that get people heated and turn them into scary monster versions of themselves so let’s not talk about them in the server.

Admin channel of the Discord server is intended for the admins and staff, please use lobby channel or planet-specific channel when using the Discord server.

This is a server intended for people to play out the roles and adventures they cannot do anywhere else. It is meant for everyone to be entertained and to have fun. If you do not know how to do that you will leave the server or will be removed, period. We want to create a fun place to play, but if you’re a ♥♥♥♥ or a griefer, we have much more fun and more power to grief than you do here. Don’t be lame.

Any suggestions, ideas, or technical issues you have to improve or expand the server, please just let us know and we will definitely take such things into consideration. This is how the Mythos System became part of our server as well as the Reach Starport Trading Hub; so, speak up we want to hear from you!

As we, Darkmind Games, drift away from the Indiana Dedicated Role Play server I think about how it all started. I originally joined on a whim because it had a decent ping and low traffic. I remember I came into the server with a friend of mine to show him the game. I was almost immediately greeted by the admin of the server, DevilJin and we became quick friends. He's still someone I consider one of my very best friends too.

I look back on how quickly the DevilsCartel server gained momentum and how high the population grew. I remember thinking about my custom planet, Achilles and finally realizing I had a chance to make that planet appear in a game with minimum overhead. Then, DevilJin offered me something I had never been offered before: an administration role over a server. So not only would I have the chance to mod a game, but I'd also be able to admin its server. Two opportunities that I have never regretted taking upon the responsibilities of.

I know that the difference between DevilsCartel and The Reach will just be a server name and some files, but DevilsCartel was where The Reach was conceived. It's where an awesome friend of mine let me and my development team take a strong foothold in his cyberspace and play around flinging the mud. It's been short journey, but like a bottle rocket's flare, it's been an exciting one.

Perhaps too short; I wish there had been more room and time to have at DevilsCartel. However, with the server group numbers falling and the server population spiking at 1 or 2 people, moving to The Reach seemed to not only be the next step, but a necessary one. We all miss ya Devil and hope you come back to the community soon buddy.

We'll be there for ya when you return and you'll have a champion's return when you do. Until then, you'll always be able to find us, in the reach.

New Group and New Beginnings!

Greeting Travelers!

So, if you're a Devils Cartel member you should first be made aware that this new group is being led by the same group of active administrators for the Devils Cartel. Any and all news regarding Mythos will also be available there and on Devils Cartel until the Devils Cartel server is retired and then will only be available on the new group. Which brings us to the next, obvious point: Devils Cartel is soon to be retired and replaced by this upcoming server, The Reach.

DevilJin has expressed to me just how filled his current itinerary is at the moment. We have mutually decided to "restructure" how our servers will be managed. Either DevilJin will fire DevilsCartel back up in the future to which we'll hopefully be able to link our servers together, or he will join The Reach as an admin. Either way, we at Darkmind Games have nothing but mad love and respect for DevilJin and hope to see him return to the Empyrion community soon!

In the meantime, the admin and modification team spearheading the Mythos System Upgrade is spreading our wings to create and maintain our own server. There will be just a few rules regarding this server, but the end-result is: don't be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥; we like to kick/ban ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

So, we're looking forward to the near future and we're hard at work with the Mythos System! Feel free to join this group now and not miss any important updates for the near future. As always, your support and awesomeness are always appreciated!

Server will go down today an HOUR BEFORE Smuggler's Run starts (debut even of The Reach) and will not return. Blueprint everything you want to use in The Reach or it will be lost, forever.

Blueprint and backup EVERYTHING today! Tomorrow the server goes down and just in case of a worst case scenario you want to make sure you've gotten everything saved for future use!

I CANNOT stress more to you guys that if the server locks up or is otherwise inaccessible to please message me! If the machine locks up, it appears no different to me than if it were running fine. So please, please, message me if it locks up or if you can't access it.

Server's updated and up and running again guys! You guys really have to hit one of us admins up if the server goes down and you're aware of it. Otherwise, it's a bit of deduction and guesswork for us to realize that the server needs to be updated/restarted.
