It looks like a massive Liberal Majority will hold the seat of power in Canada's richest and most populated province. A question I have looking back at the election campaign is the attack advertisements. I found that although the PC were flawed, specifically the incompetent Mr. Hudak, they focused more on their platform than the Liberals. The majority of Liberal advertisements were attack advertisements, and that was sad to see. It would be nice to see just one election where the voting public made their decisions logically, not based on popular culture, and where attack ads don't exist.

Ontario, you have chosen your government. We must all now live with this choice and those who made it must be accountable for it. Congratulations to the Liberal Party of Ontario.

I didn't vote (I should have went in and refused the ballot to be counted as a dissatisfied voter).

Few days in all human history stand out so strongly as does June sixth, 1944. On that day, thousands of men of all nationalities would lay down their lives in the name of freedom. A crippled and strangulated Europe would soon see a beacon of hope landing on the shores of Normandy, France. Over the period of the next half year, allied forces would fight in the costliest campaign of the war, Operation Overlord, and would slowly, but surely, free Europe of its tyrannical rulers. Finally, on May 7th, 1945, Nazi Germany would surrender to the might of the allies.

Of those thousands who landed were 15,000 Canadians. Many of those would not live past the first day, but because of beach defences and the ability of soldiers, the Canadian Army would be the first and furthest in to Normandy past the beach heads. We commemorate their bravery and in that oath so sacred between the public and service members, we forever remark “lest we forget.”

Three Officers of the Peace were slaughtered aimlessly today in New Brunswick just over two hours ago. Our thoughts are with their families and the families of two other officers who are listed in critical condition. A Canada-Wide arrest warrant has been issued for the immediate apprehension of 24-year-old mad man Justin Bourque.

Here he is pictured a short time ago. He is considered heavily armed and extremely dangerous. All members of the public in Moncton are asked to stay inside, lock their doors, and keep lights on.

RCMP are bringing in additional resources as a massive man hunt is ongoing.

This piece of writing might offend you and I'm going to be straightforward, I don't care. If you don't like differing opinions, stop reading. I will not be intimidated nor bullied to stay quiet. If you disagree, by all means, that's your right and I won't challenge it. If you wish to contest my ideas, feel free to do so, but do not become violent and be sure to remain intelligent and respectful. I will refuse to talk to you if all you can do is resort to violence and disrespect.

My legal rights are clarified as quoted from the Constitution Act 1982, Section 2 (Fundamental Freedoms), section (b), which states:

“2. Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:
...
(b) Freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;”

I assert my constitutional rights as a natural born citizen of the Dominion of Canada.

What I'm going to talk about is controversial. The double standard I'm referring to is how some visible minorities are able to assert their beliefs, ideas, and ideologies onto or into Canadian Culture and assimilate it whereas Canadians do not have the same right in return. It is my honest belief that all immigrants to Canada should have to abide to its culture. What's happening now is assimilation, and there's no other way to define it. A conservative white man will be instantly labelled a racist if he dares to speak the slightest bit negative about patterns of immigrants or immigration policy as a quick fix to silence him. This is unacceptable and I for one will no longer join in the silence of this double standard. Canada is a dominion of British Heritage and there is a fine line between acceptance and assimilation. Let's be proud of the Maple Leaf Forever, and let's encourage true fairness. Let's end the double standard. Thanks for reading.

Remember that the following list is only the summary of what I'd like to change and NOT the reasons behind those changes. Remember also that this list is only relevent to "positive discrimination" policies concerning immigrants and visible minorities and excludes the disabled and women as I will talk about those groups at a later time. The issues are complex and require individual attention.

I think affirmative action has gone way too far. The things I would like to see changed are as follows:

• Removal of the Temporary Foreign Worker program ENTIRELY
  
• Lowering the annual immigration quota from 250,000 to 100,000 and making the rules more strict to only get either the most desperate and/or the best of the best
  
• Punishing those who abuse Canada's kindness and immigration system for personal gain or to harm the state to the fullest extent of the law
  
• Removal of "affirmative action" compensation hiring priorities at workplaces for immigrants
  
• Banning full face coverage in stores, banks, and the like. If a security camera can't see your face, you shouldn't be allowed in. If you wear a burka, your husband or son or someone else will shop for you. This is fair.
  
• Removal of "Hate crime" laws; this will be the most challenging of all goals.
  
• People who don't agree with the left should not be labelled nor silenced as is fair and just in a free and democratic society
  
• The Canadian flag, the symbol of our country, not just white ethnic Canadians, but all Canadians (anyone who chooses to move to this beautiful country and call it home), should be respected as one's own and not thought of as foreign cloth because when you move here and take that oath, it applies to you and this is now your home and you respect your home
  
• For goodness sake, show your respect on Remembrance Day. Two minutes. It's a pittance of time.
