With that out of the way, let's look at Canada's oath of allegiance that members of the public service take before entering their role or office. It's an oath that affirms one's commitment to the country and the supremacy of law as well as the government through a symbol that represents all of these things, our monarch! In the case of a military recruit, their allegiance oath affirms their commitment to the same things as well as their recognition of the military's duty to protect Canada and the supreme command of the monarch.

"I, [name], do swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors. [So help me God. (omittable)]"

The Citizenship oath is as follows:

"I swear (or affirm) that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors, and that I will faithfully observe the laws of Canada and fulfil my duties as a Canadian citizen."

Did you know that over SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND Canadians served overseas in World War One? Did you know that of those 600,000, over 200,000 were wounded, and nearly 70,000 laid down their lives? We respect and honour their service. Lest we forget.

In your old kit bag, of course! Tomorrow marks the one hundredth anniversary of the mighty British Empire's, and therein, Canada's, declaration of war against the Kaiser and his allies!

"Well, as you may have noticed, my screenshots are coming with "spoiler" tags now - even if the content in question is not plot revealing in anyway. The reason for this is precaution. There are some people out there who would like nothing more than for me to post something they can report so I can have one more notch against me. These malcontents are abusing overly politically correct policy to attack people and their livelihoods. Yes, I count Steam as a livelihood, seeing as how I spent over three thousand dollars here and around seven thousand hours in game alone. Who knows how much time I've spent just online talking to people?

And still, these individuals who have grudges for whatever reasons are able to exploit draconian and overprotective censorship policies to put strikes against me and the largest investment of my life, my Steam account. This raises questions other than those concerning said individuals' characters, such as why is our society coming to this? Why do these policies even exist? Censorship and viewership control should be up to the individual and in the case of a minor, their parents / guardians. Yes, Valve is allowed to have the kind of community it wants, but does that mean us adult gamers who want to share a screenshot with a word they don't like in it (or captioning it) can't? No, it shouldn't. But do you know what happens when companies like Valve remove these kind of overprotective, useless policies? Parents complain. "Oh my child was exposed to filth on your social media network! We're suing for moral corruption and damages thereof!" Hah. What a joke.

There are so many things wrong with our world, yet they choose to attack profanities and mature references on a GAMING community where the majority of games tend to contain those types of things. How funny, but not funny at all, more like tragically sad and futile. Here's an idea that was had more than a million times before, why don't you (parents / guardians) STOP blaming other people and start blaming yourselves. There's nothing you can do in our day and age to keep children from being exposed to these types of things unless you keep them under a rock. So here's a better idea. Instead of attacking the world, why don't you prepare your children for it?! Stop trying to change /us/ and make the solution closer to home. Hey, and maybe if you did that, you might produce a better generation, too - as apposed to these overly entitled, egotistic and somehow dim children we have now. You'd think the internet would make people smarter, but nope! But hey, what are the odds this change for the better actually happens? As long as there's such a thing as civil law and draconian policies (not to mention, cultural beliefs) supporting this failing system, there will always be something to b♥♥♥♥ about - then sue about. Oh sorry, did the language offend? That's the point."
