Hello guys. I created this group over 10 years ago just for kicks. I've personally have changed in many ways from the person that started this group. I've gone through 10 years of trolls, 10 years of spam, 10 years of so many friend requests because I owned one of the first Christian gamer groups in Steam/facebook.

I'm here making an announcement that I'm leaving the group, leaving it in the hands of Lohung, who has basically been the leader of this group for some time. I'm sorry I haven't been attentive, since steam changed a lot of stuff I really forget about the group all together. I've also changed my religious views over the years, political landscape, life events, etc. Don't worry about that though, this isn't about me.

I thank everyone that's stuck to this group over the years. I haven't been the best leader but I'm glad to hand the reins over to someone that can be passionate! I hope this group can continue to be a great place for people to get together and enjoy gaming. That's all I wanted in the end.

So here we are...Farewell everyone! Thanks for all the cheese!

So as many of you have noticed that this group isn't the best Moderated group out there. Basically, it's just Myself doing it. So I am looking for more people to help with the load, because right now with life, games and this group i am having a hard time doing it all, all the time.

This community will be going through some changes and revamping and i believe this group has a potential to be a pretty awesome group. Like minded and open minded people playing together and have a good time discussing topics in the safety of this community.

I am currently taking applications in the discussion topics. Age isn't a huge factor but I will be doing "interviews" so to speak seeing how this isn’t just some random group where anything goes. As Men and Women of God we need to hold ourselves to a standard because you better believe that everyone else does..

That being said please respond to the thread in the discussions tab with as much info as possible about yourself t hat you think would be relevant to you modding this community with myself.

I look forward to finding dedicated brothers and sisters to this group to help with making this place a safe, enjoyable community for everyone

Hey guys, as you may notice, I only pop in and out of this group occassionally to see how things are going.

So far this group is running very well with the two awesome moderators we have here; so here's a shout out to Lohung and CyborgLizard for the awesome job!!!!

I'm not attentive enough to tell if we are growing or not but we definitely are active and doing well, and that's something awesome. I've been considering doing, on a trial basis, group chat/play fridays! If this sounds awesome, comment/post on forums/etc and I'll make it happen!

A couple of "rule-y" things...

There have been a couple of political threads that have popped up. Seeing this group is an international group with all types of people, let's try not to get too far into those discussions....Rarely do those discussions end civily, and while they do affect everyone in the USA, they aren't completely relevant to this group. I'll allow them but as soon as things get heated, expect the thread to be closed.

Another thing, there are a few people leaving harassing comments on our page....and I'm leaving those comments, as long as they are somewhat tame. If people are taking the time to harass or comment on this group, that must mean we are doing something right to make them feel like they need to do something. If someone isn't trying to stop you, you aren't making a difference. AT THE SAME TIME, I do not condone harassing or name-calling at them...as we are a group about "turning the other cheek" and "killing with kindness" not about retaliation or vengence....so keep that in mind when seeing those comments.

Once again, thank all of you guys for making this group an awesome place for gamers to fellowship, I wish all of you the best!

Here at Christian Gamers (CG) we promote Jesus and the Word of God. Though we invite all to come and join us in our discussion of God, his plan for our lives and just christianity in general, We realize that not everyone believes the same way and thats ok. But we do have some rules that we ask everyone to abide by to make this a pleasent place. We if you have a serious issue with religion to either ask questions in a respectful, listen and just watch or leave the group all together. We believe God loves you but not everyone is secure in what they believe one way or the other. So we appreciate your respect for everyone here just as human beings in general.

Rules:

1: No flamming of any kind. We do not tolrate people spouting off non-sense. Venting, is ok... but be warned venting can seem like flamming and you may get your post deleted.

2: No trolling.

3: No Advertising without permission

4: No swearing or sexual references

5: No harassing other players

6: No putting people down for their belief's. We respect those who agree as well as disagree with us.


If you are found to be breaking a rule your post will be deleted and you will be contacted by an admin/mod (You will receive friend request or wall post for a chat session). If the infraction repeats itself or is serious enough you may be banned from the forums; the length will be up to the Admin/Mod.

Thanks for your help in keeping this a place where Christians can come and talk in a safe and free forum as well as non-believers to come and learn more about christianity or perhaps just hang around a cool group of guys/gals.
