ABOUT CEVO TF2 Town Hall

Welcome to the CEVO Community Town Hall!

This group is open to all CEVO TF2 Players with the purpose of
  • announcing important updates regarding CEVO's TF2 league
  • providing easily accessible information
  • providing resources like HUDs, configs, and more!


Season 4 Details and Features - Opening Date is on Monday, February 24[cevo.com]
  • 8 week regular season with 2 matches per week
  • double elimination playoffs
  • 2 skill divisions (CEVO-Open & CEVO-Main)
  • minimum $2000 prize pool + community crowdfunding
  • ALL matches protected by CEVO's Paladin anti-cheat technology[cevo.com]
  • complete integration of SizzlingStats for ALL matches
  • automatic recording and archiving of STV demos for ALL matches

Season 4 Map List and Scheduling - Default match time is 9pm EST/8pm CST[cevo.com]

The deadline to report match scores are on Monday and Wednesday by default time. Matches may be played any time or day before the deadline and can be scheduled via the CEVO match communication thread. For more information on scheduling, click here[cevo.com].

In light of recent problems with scheduling we have an update, effective immediately:

  • Deadline days are still Mondays and Wednesdays.
  • Open scheduling will come out two weeks in advance to allow more time to play.
  • Main schedule has already been released for the regular season and teams are allowed to play a match at any time before the deadline.
  • If teams cannot agree to a time before the deadline, you are allowed to play after the deadline by having BOTH CAPTAINS agree to a time in match comms, then submit a support ticket with the desired time, linking the match page.

Hope this makes scheduling easier! Next season we will be changing the default/deadline days to make it a bit smoother.

Move-Ups, Whitelist, and Scheduling

Move-ups have been finalized. CEVO Season 4 Main teams are as follows:
47 captains voted out of 67 readied up teams.
* indicates teams that were voted in from the community captain poll.

Schedules for Week 1 will be released Friday, February 21.

REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULING PROTOCOL - 2 MATCHES PER WEEK
Open will be scheduled match-by-match based on record.
Main is round robin (15 matches) and has been fully scheduled.

Please read the following updates and timeline-
  • DEFAULT time to play Match 1 will be MONDAY, February 24.
  • DEADLINE time to play Match 1 will be MONDAY, March 3.
  • DEFAULT and DEADLINE time to play Match 2 will be Wednesday, February 26.
This means the automatically scheduled time for Match 1 is at 8pm CST on Monday, February 24 but teams will have until the NEXT WEEK to play the match and report score if both teams come can reach an official agreement on the match communication thread. This is a one time extension of the deadline day for Match 1 since schedules are being released later than anticipated.

any idea why matchmaking is aids in this league? i wish i could talk to an admin about it but Quindali hasn't been online since she added captains. :-/ feel free to add me if you are an active admin so someone will be around if i have questions.
