After much wrestling with things, the server is up and appears to be OK.
I don't understand why The Hub is jittering slightly, especially considering it IS a station, but doubtless we'll come onto the server and it'll be a pile of rubble or something. That'll be fun! :P

Anyway, the revised GPS list (there's just The Hub and Astra Station on it), is on the same document on Google as where the mods are listed. Also, we have four new mods (tested on a DIFFERENT world, this time!).

The new mods are:
* Ladders
* Easy Inventory
* Plane Parts (build vehicles that only need one thruster!)
* Speed Limit 500 (500+ m/s for ships and jetpacks!)

I've set up the mods list so that each listed mod has a link to its Steam Workshop page, so you can get more details about it.

One other thing: I don't intend to increase the size of this group beyond what we have. The main reason is that, although I have 100 Mbps download speed at home, I only have 5-6 Mbps upload speed, and I don't know how much strain the connection will come under if even all of us are on at the same time. Sorry about this.

So, the original version of the server is irretrievably broken - though for reasons I don't understand in the slightest, it works fine and dandy in SP. Even a version from Oct 26, which theoretically shouldn't be affected, doesn't work in MP, either.

After a suggestion from Pete (beowulf2020), I've copied Astra Station and The Hub, and been able to paste them into the new world. And the server doesn't crash when I connect to it, which is definitely a relief! There are still more things I need to do before making it available again, which I plan to do today. It's set up with a different group ID, so you won't see it in your server browser at present.


When The Server Comes Back Up...

The list of GPS coordinates I've given you will be invalid, of course, and I'll provide an updated one when the server's ready to go.

Also, any bases and ships you've built are gone. HOWEVER, I've put the old version of the world onto Dropbox. If you load it in SP, the GPS list should still work, so you should at least be able to grab resources from your bases, make blueprints, etc. You're all on as admins, so you'll be able to paste stuff in by enabling creative-mode tools via Alt-F10.

If you want to stay legit, that's totally cool, too. There's a ridiculous amount of materials at The Hub, which you're very welcome to use (that's what they're there for). The "Las Estrellas" faction is back, so when the server comes online, it might be worth spawning in a spacesuit, joining the faction (it's on auto-accept), killing yourself with Backspace (or whatever you defined it as), and then selecting The Hub Medical Room from the list.
