ABOUT Arcturus e-Sports

Named after the brightest star in the constellation of Boötes, looking to compete in the local scene and strive to shine and become one of the top teams in Sarawak while training young and talented players to achieve their potential.

First for Arcturus

Arcturus has emerged as Champions from the Matrix 2nd LAN Tournament after defeating Kyoshin 3-1 in the BO5 final, needing only to play 4 maps, Kyoshin surprised Arcturus on our map pick, Inferno, winning 16-13, giving them the first win of the finals. But Arcturus cameback on Mirage, winning 16-4, tying the score and continued to dominate on Cache, 16-3 and dust2, 16-2 and emerged victorious.

The first of the tournament for Arcturus was against TLS, in which proved to be of no challenge for Arcturus as they destroyed TLS on both Inferno, 16-4 and Mirage, 16-1.

The second match was against Teabaggers from Miri whom fought hard against Arcturus but the bears were the ones that advanced to the finals after winning on 2 maps, Cache (16-14) and Train (16-11) and eventually winning the tournament. Ggwp.

On another note, Reserves team is now officially disbanded and the Academy has been renamed to Neos, which means new, combining Arcturus Neos basically means new star which defines our young talent as future stars, or so we hope. Abdul "yurei" Hazim has been named as Neos Captain, leading the young team under the guidance of Alvin "xapy" Chapman and the rest of the first team.

Edric "Derik" Uben has decided to stay with the team and his supposed replacement, Eizwan "misomtamper" Elfian, has filled the spot of Official Stand-in instead.

The Arcturus first team will be playing in a smaller online tournament, ROL CSGO SUMMER SEASON 1 with the prizepool of $500 which is scheduled to start around mid next week.

Post-IEM Sydney Qualifier

Tough luck for Arcturus as they lost against the professional team, Team nxl> on Dust2 with the scoreline; 4:16. Good game well played to all participating players and best of luck to Team nxl> in the qualifiers.

Moving on, Arcturus is scheduled to play in the 2nd Round of the First Shot Online Qualifier hosted by Playtonia on Sunday, 8:30pm against the winner of a first round match, Haters vs Vezen Esports.

This will be the team's last online qualifier before a long hibernation to focus on individual skill improvement and boosting team chemistry while also looking for two First Team player as Edric "Derik" Uben will be leaving the team in April and the Reserves team will be removed, making another room as an "Official Stand-in" within the First Team.

The players under the Reserves team will either be promoted to First Team or dropped to the Academy Team. The reason to the removal is to give more playtime to the players as we wish to build a full team for the Academy so to better train among themselves and play within their level of skill while also learning from the First Team members.

Furthermore, the local town's internet cafe, Matrix Esports, will be hosting their 2nd CSGO LAN Tournament starting on the 30th of March with a cash prize of MYR350 going to only the champions of the event. Participating players will be announced and Edric "Derik" Uben will be playing his last tournament bearing Arcturus' name.
