ABOUT Attitude Over Everything

ATTITUDE OVER EVERYTHING

Attitude Over Everything is a guild founded on the governing principle that games are meant to be fun, and are significantly more fun when played with outstanding people! We have assembled a group of positive, community-oriented gamers that can be trusted to make the experience more enjoyable! We want to cultivate a reputation of being classy, sportsmanlike, and focused on having the best possible attitude!

CODE OF CONDUCT:

1. Play to win, even if defeat is imminent. Dig deep, get to work, and play for a lucky break. Some teams give up. Other teams make impossible comebacks. Let's be the team that shows some grit, and plays it out! Even the best teams in the world get stomped sometimes; look for opportunities to outplay the opposition despite impossible conditions.

2. Don't blame, complain, or make excuses. It won't make anything better, so there's no reason to spoil everyone's mood.

3. Focus on improving your play and the play of others. Try to make your best even better, every game, whether it's a favorable situation or a tough one.

4. Learn to play a kick-ass support role, and be willing to take your turn. "I suck at support" is an excuse that has zero merit. Everybody supports in AoE.

5. Stay positive despite blatant stupidity or seemingly impossible obstacles.

6. Conduct yourself with humility and class towards opponents and teammates. No cocky banter, trolling, teasing, name-calling, or insults. If you enjoy getting under your opponent's skin, AoE isn't for you.

7. Don't engage in verbal battles. If you somehow got sucked into a dispute, stop it.

8. Never quit. Practice micro, finding farm on a scary map, or playing out of bad situations, in order to improve. Even a stomp provides opportunities to improve. We win, or we learn.

9. Get a good mic, and use it! Effective voice chat is a key requirement.

10. Enable the "Expose Public Match Data" setting.

11. Have fun! It's a game! If you aren't enjoying your games, go take a break.

Adding AoE. to your handle is encouraged, but not required. Imagine, though, a situation wherein a player sees the AoE. prefix and instantly knows you to be classy and sportsmanlike simply by guild reputation! If you do choose to represent the guild by including AoE. in your handle, you must AT ALL TIMES act as a representative of the guild, and stay within our Code of Conduct.

If you do add the AoE. tag to your name, please format it as follows:

AoE.Exampleman

In the case of persistent or flagrant departures from the Code of Conduct:

Incident 1: Verbal warning.
Incident 2: Mandate to re-read and agree to the Code of Conduct.
Incident 3: Final warning.

FOR NEW RECRUITS: Please copy/paste the Guild Motto in a Steam message to the officer who invited you, as an indication that you have read the Code of Conduct, and are on-board!

Guild Motto: SENTITE OMNIBUS SUPEREMINET

Welcome to AoE!

I'd love some feedback on whether or not it's worth it to resurrect AoE. Thoughts?
