ABOUT 38th North Carolina Battalion

Welcome to the Home of the 38th NC Battalion!

Hello gentlemen Tar Heels!

We have created the 38th North Carolina Battalion as an association and command structure accurate to historical standards for companies comprising of the 38th North Carolina Regiment. Once we reach a larger number (TBD) we will change from a battalion to a full regiment. Historically a battalion consisted of two or more companies, and a full regiment consisted off 10 companies.

Companies currently in the 38th North Carolina Battalion:

38th North Carolina Company K
38th North Carolina Company H
38th North Carolina Company F

At this time we will drill together on a company level as numbers allow. With Skirmishes coming out soon, more participation and growth is expected to increase our numbers. We have not elected a Major at this time.

The Battalion Chain of Command shall follow historical standards.

The Battalion shall conduct itself in a uniform way, teaching and implementing Hardee's Rifle & Light Infantry Manual in each individual companies drill.
