Below is the event as it was told by the OCS commander during his scrim testing:

On Tuesday January 4th, during my OCS Scrim, the allied forces were tasked with clearing the Southwest Village and the Farm on Lutremange. The initial infantry assault on the Southwest Village took substantial casualties. However, once the village was secured the we received reinforcements from King Company. Sgt. Salem, PFC McNeil, and Pvt. Cornell were ordered to move their Sherman into position to shell the farm. They were given only 4 infantry to assist them in capturing the farm. These three tankers quickly moved forward and began engaging the enemy. In rapid order they took down the enemy AT soldier, then two more enemy attempting to pick up the fallen enemy AT gun. They then provided suppressive fire to the infantry that allowed them to move forward in the farm buildings. They then quickly moved to the West side of the farm and continued their assault. During the whole of the operation to capture the farm, this tank crew took out 7 enemy. Once the farm was captured they quickly set up in a defensive position. The counter-attack came from all different directions and they rapidly responded to each sighted contact, manoeuvrings their tank into position to engage each contact. Through out this whole encounter the kept track of friendly positions and never once engaged friendly targets. At one point, they saved the commander of the allied forces by firing an HE round with such accuracy, that it picked off the enemy but saved the two friendly in the same building. At the end of the day this tank crew accounted for 11 enemy kills. As a result of these heroic actions, I am recommending Sgt. Salem, PFC McNeil, and Pvt. Cornell to receive the Silver Star.
