ABOUT ♚ 12th East Suffolk Regiment of Foot ♚

Welcome to the "Old Dozen"

The Regiment was first raised by the Duke of Norfolk in 1685. It was named The "Duke of Norfolk's Regiment of Foot", after the Colonel as was the tradition at the time. It was raised to support King James II during the Monmouth Rebellion, when James Scott the 1st Duke of Monmouth (the oldest illegitimate son of Charles II and the King’s nephew) unsuccessfully attempted to overthrow the unpopular King James II. The Regiment went on to serve in the War of the Austrian Succession (1740–48) and fought at the Battles of Dettingen (1743) and Fontenoy (1745). In 1751 the naming tradition of Regiments was simplified each being ranked by number, therefore the Regiment was re-titled as the 12th Regiment of Foot. The 12th also served in Germany during the Seven Years’ War (1756–1763) and fought at The Battles of Minden, Warburg, Fellingshausen and Wilhelmstahl.

I am back. Dobby can you message me when you are here. I see that there are many changes from when I joined back in the beginning.

Okay guys so the past week has been a little weird indeed, never the less we now have a Line company and a Rifle Company we will work together in the best ways we can. And events are starting to come our way now, soon we will have a 3rd company which will be cavalry.

They will already have there guys so no one will be joining them for a few weeks just while they get settled in.

And the events schedule will be changing so make sure to keep up to date with that as we will most likely be having daily events soon.

All in all this is starting to piece together now so enjoy and have fun

Try to check in to http://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=23599.0 (our page at the fse forum) from time to time so we are gonna stay at the high position there which should hopefully mean some more recruits :)
