how do you destroy the first set of brambles you come across near the end of the mines I tried using fireball but was told the spell was to weak I gave up on them thinking that I'd come back later with a better spell but then I destroyed the crystal blocking the way to the boss with the glowing stomach is there another way to destroy the brambles apart from a stronger spell?...

Hey, I've made it to the second boss in chapter 4, the giant fire guy with 4 elevated platforms you can jump between using the telekinesis balls. I noticed the boss has the three lightening signs: one on each wrist and one of his back. I've managed to jump to each platform for his wrists and charge them but after that everything seems to turn to flames and impossible to avoid and I always die within a few seconds...Any tips for what to do next and how to get to the platform on his back??? Thanks!...
