looks like there's no manual saving, which is a huge oversight and close to a dealbreaker even at the current price. so how does autosaving work in this game?

Otherwise that's a no buy for me.

I entered the village and got all the lamps lit and found the elevator puzzle. I got out of the program, and when I restarted it, the elevator is missing. Anyone have any ideas why or how to fix it?

So I finally finished the stone puzzles where you have to put in the right stones that glowed to get the other gate open, I finished it yesterday after running around trying to figure it out and taking a very long time to do it, I get to the part where that gate is finally opened, I see the little save icon on the top right so I exited the game, because I couldnt be on the pc any more, I go back now to continue and I have to start from the very beginning of the puzzle?? That's BS! I am pissed...
