Will there be an option to speed up the battle animations?

Played this on DOS as a kid and I remember there being both music and sound effects during the moving and capturing of the pieces in the 3D board. Was wondering what settings everyone uses? Sound Blaster seems to work best for me for the music, but I'm still experimenting with the sound effects...

These chess games are hella old. Nothing justifies this price, It's probably not even worth waiting for a steam sale... sure I can find them for free somewhere online. You guys are insane. Please rethink your life choices.
