This game is fun but the placement of saves on floor 8 (the mansion) is horrendous for payers who have not played that part before.

A homage to various horror games and horror tropes broadly in the best way possible; despite the low-budget and simple presentation this game is very effective in what it tries to accomplish, and I really liked my time with this game. That it manages to accomplish a strangely addictive yet simple gameplay loop without ever overstaying its welcome makes for a horror game that's high on energy as well as fun. There is plenty of content and variety in such a little (and cheap) game, and I do believe it has cemented itself in my mind as one of the classic horror games of all time. I appreciate that it leans into jump scares explicitly, so that you know exactly what you are getting yourself into. A charming and creative game, that any horror fan should try out.
