I haven't play for quite some time. I loaded up a campaign and noticed there are no victory points on the operational map. How am I know my objectives? Thanks

So I am still trying this game. Played the "Spring Walk" battle. My Bren Carriers are just not making sense. At the start of the battle when they see troops far away they attack with the mounted bren gun. They typically destroy the motar behind the farm this way from 800 to 1000 meters. But later in the battle, when there are plenty of SPOTTED (white dots) troops to shoot at, they will not fire the gun. They see them, fire at will, they have lots of ammo, they are in good condition, no panic, 700 meters aw...

I've encountered what I assume to be a newbie issue where my tanks are constantly having their tracks dislocated by rocks within the first few minutes of a battle. I understand there is a way to see mobility availability but it all shows green. Sometimes they don't even try to fix it the crew just say its over and run off. What am I doing wrong? I can see the rocks but I'm just curious if there is a formation I need to follow in order to prevent this from happening....
