I love this game with all my heart, I have beaten it multiple times either solo or co-op on PC and Xbox. My younger brother Trinity used to play it with me on Xbox and we were both so excited for the third game. I remember how excited he was to show me the State of Decay 3 trailer when it dropped.

Unfortunately when the 3rd installment of this game releases I will be playing it by myself without one of my favorite survivors. Trin passed before State of Decay 3 released, so I will be braving the wasteland by myself. You always think you have more time with the ones you love but sometimes you don't. So for the short 18 years he was here with us, thank you Undead labs for the good memories we shared together on this game while surviving in Trumbull Valley.
I know with reviews you are typically supposed to say what you liked and disliked about a game so other people can decide if they want to buy the games for themselves but I love this game exactly the way it is. The way it was when Trin and I would play it together, and writing this review has helped me feel just a little better by remembering the good times we had while playing State of Decay 2.

A game that is SIMILAR to The Walking Dead TV show. Really fun, but if you play it continuously you'll eventually get bored of it sadly

Almost 40 hours in and this is hands down my favorite zombie survival game made to date, constantly gives you tasks to do so there's never any boring downtime, zombie sieges threaten your base, resource management matters and there are friendly and hostile human enclaves to deal with or 'deal with'. If the game starts getting too easy don't worry there are 5 difficulty settings to tickle your masochistic fancy, you have greenzone and standard if you want the normie experience and dread, nightmare and lethal zone if you really want a hardcore zombie sim. 10,000/10 you gotta try it!
