Reset view position in Oculus Rift?

I'm using the CV1 and there doesn't appear to be a way to reset the view. The "Spacebar/Escape" menu appears fine, but then it started me out with my head in front of the in-game display console, so I stepped back and realized my head was on the seat. Using the standard Oculus "reset view in app" function did not affect the game and I wasn't able to find any keyboard shortcut to do it.
