Will there be any more updates, or is the game over?

I quit playing this game earlier this year due to the lack of an actual map and after reading through the forums I realized that you had your reasons for taking out the old one. I was just wondering if you were any closer to an ETA on whenever we could expect an actual map instead of this place holder. I'm not complaining or anything, I was just curious....

Been a while since I played this and now on the update I don't see any cabins or cars yet. Does anybody know where the cars are now ? Is there a car on each little map ?
