Can one hide the UI?

I've just finished my first run of the game and it was absolutely amazing. Couldn't help but shed a tear at the end. Music is top notch too. I picked Becky which I believe is the only choice that makes sense, even in the 1905 novel Sara takes Becky with her. So, what sense is there to pick anyone else? Why would Sara try to run after the others when she can have Becky who understands her far better? Also, does Sara leave Becky behind in that hellhole if you take a different route? If I start the game while it's set to Fullscreen mode, it warns me that it's using software rendering. I've confirmed this by then switching to Window mode and trying to resize the window. This happens even after enabling "Force OpenGL Renderer" in the Ren'Py graphics acceleration menu (Shift+G). If I start the game while it's set to Window mode, it uses the correct renderer.
